I think the author's writing is strong. I could connect with Beatrix's parents, and I liked reading through their povs the most, even more than Beatrix's haha. I thought Spence-Ash wrote their emotions and thoughts so well Reginald and Millie stuck with me after the first impression.
However, the way the multiple povs are used isn't to my taste. I noticed that Beatrix's pov is broken up when the setting changes, even though we're still in her pov, so it was awkward for me to break up her pov into separate chapters like that.
