Fresh perspective about life during World War II

As someone who reads historical fiction often, this book holds a certain appeal to me. I love books about World War II, and I like that this one is about a girl living in America during the war and then returning to England to try to readapt to her postwar life. Beyond That, The Sea seems to offer a fresh and interesting perspective about family life during the war.
