Historical fiction, especially WWII, is one of my favorite genres so I have been looking forward to reading this First Look. The writing is absolutely beautiful and you can feel the sorrow and longing from Beatrix in the Prologue, from her parents in the first chapters as they make a heart wrenching decision. The cover is gorgeous and the title is fitting. Can't wait to read the rest of the novel.
