As a fan of historical fiction, Beyond That, the Sea appeals to me as the kind of historical fiction novel I would pick off the shelf at the bookstore and not regret buying. The writing style is simple yet detailed. From the first page, the gorgeous setting by the sea presents the reader with the whimsical feeling of almost being there themselves. I can only imagine how enchanted the love story itself will leave me the more I read.
