A big thank you to BookishFirst and Celadon Books for this advanced copy of Being Henry. I enjoyed Happy Days, and The Fonz was one of my favorite characters. Henry Winkler is almost synonymous with The Fonz. That, of course proved a challenge, because of type casting. This book explores the before and after of Henry's life in reference to Happy Days. The thing I found most interesting is the personal part of the book. Henry was very honest about his struggles and his achievements, which includes voice overs and writing books. He has goals and does not give up on achieving them. I was very interested to learn of his dyslexia and the books he helped create for children (or adults) to help them navigate dyslexia or any other learning disability.
I don't usually read memoirs so I can't compare this one to others, but I highly recommend this book.
