Not For Me

Unfortunately, this memoir just wasn't for me.

Don't get me wrong, there were some nice elements in this memoir--the stories shared just weren't anything exciting. They were just very boring to me overall.

There were also a lot of anecdotes in this book, too many in my opinion. It also didn't help that the stories weren't told in chronological order, so it was difficult to follow at times. I also felt like there were a lot of loose threads that never got tied up, which was a bit frustrating.

One thing that didn't sit right with me was how he defined himself as a "struggling actor", because so much of what he told him about himself suggested that he was never really struggling for money (for acting jobs, sure...). I don't know, I just think it could have been explained better.

I have no doubt that Henry Winkler is a nice man, and many people who read this book will enjoy learning more about him. This just wasn't something that I personally enjoyed reading.
