Autobiographies are not my favorite genre but I am so glad I read this book! Henry Winkler is so down-to-earth that I felt like he was sitting on the couch right next to me telling me his life story! I grew up with the Fonz and the Cunninghams, Potsie and Ralph. The Fonz made me laugh and even cry at times. I didn’t realize that Henry Winkler struggled with the lack of love by his parents and the harshness of the comments he received by them. I also didn’t know that he is dyslexic and he himself didn’t realize this until the age of 37! He struggled in school and reading scripts for movies. Henry acknowledges that he wanted to be known more than just the Fonz. But that was difficult to achieve as everyone knew him as Fonzarelli. I learned a lot about Henry Winkler. He is honest, witty, genuine, happy, super nice, generous, and a great actor. From now on when I see him in a movie or watch old clips of Happy Days I will truly appreciate his acting ability and him as a person.
