I grew up watching Henry Winkler play Fonzie on Happy Days and he was magnificent in his portrayal of a character loved by America. I really enjoyed reading this book and getting a glimpse of who Harry was as a young man, how he became a major star, and learning about the person he is today. My first impression is this book is well written and provides a good insight into who the real Henry Winkler is, both as a man and as an actor. The book delves into various parts of Henry’s life in a way you thought you were right there. I was left with the feeling that on real life he genuinely is a good person and one people would like to have as a friend. As Fonzie he portrayed a tough motorcycle guy on the exterior, but the real Fonzie was just a sweet guy with a twinkle in his eye. The book does a great job of showing that all these years later and even with his many years of acting and success, he is still the same good guy with the same twinkle in his eye. The author is to be commended for capturing that.
