Thanks to Bookish First for providing me with a review copy of this book, Being Henry by Henry Winkler. I have read a decent number of memoirs and autobiographies by celebrities. Some are great, some are horrible, and most are just okay. To me it depends on the actor’s life story and whether they have something interesting to say or whether they’re just telling uninspired anecdotes from their life. And, of course, it depends on whether they can write. In this book, I think Henry did a decent job of both—he’s already an accomplished children’s book writer AND he has an interesting story to tell in regard to living with sever dyslexia. I really enjoyed Henry in many of his acting gigs, particularly in the show Barry, and so it was interesting to me to be able to read more about his life in this book. Overall I would recommend you read this if you have an interest in Henry Winkler the actor, but if not I think it can be a skip.
