Henry Winkler is best known to me as The Fonz. How could he not be as a teen of the 70's. Everyone was aware of this character. What we as fans weren't aware of was Winkler's severe dyslexia and feelings of being unworthy. Both of these topics are explored through Being Henry: The Fonz...and Beyond. Lots of name dropping and reasons for his career highs and lows are sprinkled throughout the book.
Though seeming to have a flagging acting career, Winkler made up for it in voice work and maybe ever more importantly, kids books based on his own experiences with childhood. Fast forward to the 2000's and his career has picked up enough for him to have mostly left behind The Fonz.
What wasn't shared in the book and I'm curious as to why not, was the reality show, Better Late Than Never. A travel vlog with fellow participants William Shatner, former NFL quarterback Terry Bradshaw, and former professional boxer George Foreman. All senior citizens at the time and the show was funny and uplifting and I would have loved to read Winkler's take on the travels and companions.
Overall, this is certainly a book for fans of Happy Days/The Fonz or more currently fans of Barry found on MAX. Or fans of all of Henry Winkler shows in-between.

Thank you to Celadon for an early copy in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
