This is a book that should be getting a lot more buzz! Winkler was a mainstay on American television for decades and this is a refreshing peak behind the curtain at the man most people still know as "The Fonz". From his challenging upbringing to his struggles with undiagnosed dyslexia, we are meeting Henry, the man behind the myth. The writing here is very approachable, and it's very hard not to read it in the Fonz's trademark voice. Winkler is bearing his soul here, with the good, the bad, and the ugly all represented. Some are going to find the stories of young romance a little shocking for the man we think we know, but this is one of those cases where reality is more rewarding than fantasy. This is going to be the story of the man who made despite the odds and who retains his charm and average Joe appeal throughout. You get the sense while reading these chapters that this guy could be your neighbor, spinning you a yarn from his youth. The cover is perfect. It's understated, but it's a perfect picture of Winkler and is charming. The cliffhanger for this preview was also perfect, because even though you think you know what happens when he heads to California, you know based on the previous chapters that you're in for the WHOLE story this time.
