The author did a good job of writing from a 15 year old girl's perspective. It really felt like it was actually coming from a 15 year old. However, as accurate to being a teenager it was I could still relate and empathize in my 20s. It feels appropriate and relatable for a wider range of ages than just high schoolers. I could see some people feeling that it almost feels a bit too juvenile, but as it comes from the perspective of a teenager I think that it feels appropriate, like the main character could actually be writing her story.
I was interested from the start, actually wanting to turn every page. The background and setting were described well enough to feel like you're there, but not too many details to bore you. You can easily get invested and feel immersed in the storyline.
I'm definitely intrigued and interested in reading the whole book.
