This book has me torn. I love the style of writing the author uses. It was easy to jump in and fly through the pages. I also enjoyed the bad girl gang led by just released Connie. Evie seems like a good girl trying to fit in with the wrong crowd.
I found this intro intriguing. You can sense the want Evie has to fit in with the rough crowd even though inside she’s quiet. Her easy to deduce crush on her best friend Connie’s twin brother seems a bit too predictable. I think her attempt to get him to notice her will be entertaining though.
The foreshadowing between the rich kids and the wrong side of the track kids makes for some excitement as well. I have to imagine there’s lots of fights and run ins between the two crowds.
I also want to know what secret Connie is keeping about her brother. He seems motivated to keep it suppressed which It sits on the tip of Connie’s tongue!
