The plot is really good, and the review that I received, it provides you with backstory (prologue) and a bit of description of the characters. We learn the characters names (Connie, Sunny, Juanita, and Evie) and who they are.
I love the throwback. Before I'd read the description, I already knew this was going to be themed/based in some kind of throwback. Whether the 90s, 80s, 70s, and in this case, 60s!
There are some fantastic movie references that I've noticed. The popular girls seem to be described like the girls in mean girls, and they seem to act like them too.
I love that I can perfectly imagine everything that's going on in the book. And, I'm a very imaginative person, so I can think of music that seems to go with anything, and when I tell you! This just makes it even cooler!
