I don't think I've ever read a book where a young girl rejoins her friends after a brief stint in jail, so this one is a first! It certainly grabbed my attention from the beginning.
It's easy to see the comparison to the classic novel The Outsiders, but I wonder if these characters will be too stereotyped. Still, I'm very intrigued by these first couple of chapters and would like to continue reading it.
