While the narrator gives off the voice of a teenager, it sounds like it's trying too hard. The emphasis that the narrator and her friends are "bad girls" is repeated so many times in the beginning two chapters, it loses all meaning. Perhaps the book improves as it goes but my first look says I'm willing to let this one pass.
