All too often girls are pitted against each other in novels. There's competition over boys, over other girls, over academics, etc. So this novel struck me as intriguing because I crave reading more books about girl friendship. Books that show girls overcoming that girl vs girl hate and learning to love each other despite their differences (or perceived differences)
