Written in present tense, the story is narrated by Evie, who spends a lot of the opening talking about how she's a bad girl but then dives in to how she's not very tough and feels like a mascot for the true town baddies.

Proceeding with a grain of salt given her age, the story flows quite naturally. It feels quaint though I don't think the time frame is explicitly stated.

The first line of each chapter is squished together with no spaces which is a bit odd. The first chapter I thought it was funny (because of what's written) but by chapter two, the quirkiness is odd. In general, I wish the words were spaced out a tiny bit more but I got used to it fairly quickly.
