This is one of those "re-makes" with a twist. Personally I prefer an ORIGINAL story.
Nothing wrong with YA, I still have a hankering for my Sweet Valley High books, and I've read the Twilight saga. The Twilight saga is high up on my "RE-READ" list.
This just doesn't grab me and as a teen? I wouldn't have grabbed it either. Given the dark "forebodiness" of the book - it isn't something I would get my teen.
