So I don't much like thrillers in general, but I thought I'd give it a go since I liked the author's other book, Moxie. However, I royally underwhelmed, the prologue is trying to convince me so hard that they are all bad girls using all the buzzwords one would get when googling bad girl.
I also didn't like the writing style, when she uses a ship metaphor, I really didn't need the protagonist to mention that she had never been on a ship. And what is with the word "tuff" is it a typo? A reference to the original? Or just a poor writing choice?
Overall, I didn't enjoy the first look into the book and will keep it closed for good from now on.
