I love the idea of having a retelling for the outsiders. I think that will draw a lot of people in. I also find it interesting that it calls into question what friendship means to girls and how far they will go for each other. I think this will be a fun, girl empowering book, as long as the author doesn't go too far with the whole "bad girl" thing. That could be aggravating if it's too stereotypical. It would put women in a bad light and I don't think anyone wants that.
