First off the cover. She seems so full of mystery and has this kind of draw to her.
My first impression of the book was the blurb and when I read the blurb about the book and saw “homage to The Outsiders” I flipped. It is one of my favorite books. I know I would be hooked.
After reading the first look I needed to read more. I couldn’t wait to learn more about the characters and their challenges. I love the whole dynamic of the bad side of the tracks versus the good side, hence my love for The Outsiders. Evie seems like my kind of girl, strong, smart, not afraid to stand up to a bully. This book makes me nostalgic and curious to see a different version of what I know I love. So psyched to read!
