I really like the voice in the writing. It's very distinct and it puts you in the scene right away. While it wasn't entirely clear what the time period was right off the bat, it didn't matter because girls "like this" are always relevant. And the final chapter in this sample definitely has me intrigued to see where this is going. Was Evie's feeling right? What's up with Diane? What happened to Johnny? Definitely intrigued.
