In this very short excerpt, I'm already interested in the world and characters. I think the main character, Evie, is relatable and I'm interested to see her interact with the other characters. I'm also curious to see what themes this gender-bent retelling tackles in comparison to the original. I like the cover, too. I can't wait to read!
