This is a great feminist retelling of a classic novel. The classic novel, The Outsiders, by S.E. Hinton was about the war between social classes, and how gang members lived back in the day. I enjoyed reading these first two chapters of Bad Girls Never Say Die, which is told from the perspective of young women. I think that that adds a new dimension of feminism to the story that I want to read more about.

I also really liked the cover of this book. It really drew me to this book, because I want to know more about the girl with the sunglasses. It looks like a very exciting story. One thing that I enjoyed from reading the first two chapters is that the girls are unapologetically "bad," meaning that they do things that go against the modus operandi of society. For example, they smoke cigarettes. But are these things really bad, or is it just that society deems them inappropriate for a certain gender? I can't wait to keep reading to find out what happens next.
