I usually dislike reading books from my home state or hometown. Actually i dislike reading anything that pertains to things ive experienced first hand because it becomes so frustrating when the writer inevitably gets it wrong. So i went in to this sneak peak extremely jaded and biased. I was not expecting to like at all so imagine my surprise when I got invested to the point that i completely forgot it was a peak. When i got to the end and remembered I wanted to cry haha Never read anything from this author but definitely going to check out more of their work after reading this.
