Bad City: Peril and Power in the City of Angels by Paul Pringle

Rating: 4/5 Stars

I usually don't read nonfiction books, they don't really appeal to me. But once I saw that this was a true crime book I knew I had to read it. This book follows Paul Pringle looking into a tip that was given about a dug overdose of a University of Southern California star. This tip leads Paul and his team to not only uncover that scandal but also two others with the school. This book also shows you what detailed investigative journalism is and the struggles they go through working for a big paper.

It took me a little while to get into the book because there are a lot of people to keep track of and a lot thrown at you, but once you get used to that then this book is amazing. I read through it so fast once I got used to it. Thank you to Celadon Books for gifting me a copy in exchange for an honest review.
