I would like to preface my review by saying I typically don't enjoy nonfiction books... like at all. But Celadon sent me a sampler of the first few pages of this book and after reading just the first chapter I knew this would be something I was really into.
Bad City is an absolute master class of investigative journalism. I was equal parts horrified and fascinated the entire time I was reading this book. I can understand why Celadon chose to sit on it for as long as they did, I think this one is going to take the world by storm when it's published.
I will never ever support USC in any capacity after seeing what so many of their higher ups allowed to happen for SO MANY YEARS. Appalling. And to think so many of the people responsible for such reprehensible crimes were supposed to be taking care of their victims.
Again, kudos to Paul Pringle and his team for their diligent work on bringing these horrible crimes to light.
