I’m not a fan of true crime but this excerpt hooked me. I had to go back and check to make sure that it’s not fiction. I like the author’s writing style for the most part. The book is engaging and reads like a fictional thriller - entertaining! I will definitely read the entire book. My only reason to rate 4 stars instead of 5 is that I got a little bogged down with the overly descriptive accounts of building architecture and past investigations of incidents involving USC.
