I really do not know what to say about Bad Call. I could not put the book down. But I could not empathize with any of the characters and I sometimes had difficulty following the story with the flashbacks and the multiple perspective changes. I really cannot explain my thoughts on this book. Four high school students go on a camping trip. No one knows where they are because they have lied to everyone. Plans change because of a forest fire. Then there is a rain/snowstorm. While the story is partially a story of survival, the main theme seems to be the hidden agenda each character brings. I gave this book four stars because I could not put it down but for some reason I cannot say that I really liked this book.
