The prologue of the book is captivating. This story starts off a little slow, but you get to see more of the characters. On their mission, called Operation Cannabis Cove, tennis teammates work together to convince the night staff member with the excuse of going to a tennis tournament in San Diego when they are really planning to go to Yosemite. There are a couple mysterious themes already starting with not only the prologue, but also the shiny, new ax in the back of Grahame's aged Jeep Cherokee and the case of the studious roommate.
I want to get to know more about each of the characters and their true motives on this trip. This book was well-written and met most of my expectations. I want to know if the flaky roommate ties into the story, or if he is just a simple pawn in this book. I have not read all of it, but I was impressed with the first part of the book I was given and am excited to read more.
