It was suspenseful, but in the beginning it does start out slow and you just have to pay attention to the little details that start giving you hint that the story is about to pick up and get more edgy. I very much enjoyed the "chase" of trying to put the situation in perspective and try to figure what will happen next and what will be the final outcome. You don't really get many books like this, I find that it is tougher to write this style but the author did a good job at capturing your attention and keeping me on the edge of my seat trying to see if my assumptions were spot on or how close I was too. I love how dark the story turns with that age group not too many people like to bring that side out just because it seems that age group shouldn't be in those type of situations but it does happen.
