I feel I need to know more about this book to give a proper judgement.
The first chapter jumps you in to an ominous dark campsite and a seemingly gristly discovery but the next chapter is where we meet 3 of the 4 main characters and establish hints at their backstory and characteristics. We find one of the friends is missing. But Through careful planning and preparation, the three friends about to escape boarding school dorm to go camping-using a fake basketball tournament as the reason.
I will say, the last chapter is not the most dramatic chapter ending, with an ax, but after the first preview chapter and having read the summary. Seems like the ax will come back and things will take a dark turn.
