I was not previously familiar with Stephen Wallenfel until I started seeing his latest book, BAD CALL, on social media. I’ve been hearing good things so when I saw it offered for I knew I had to read it.

First, however, I want to comment on the cover. I normally do not read suspense or thrillers because they make me too nervous. And, okay, I’m a scary cat. This cover, though! Sinister and intriguing. It begs to be picked up.

The story opens with two of the four Chandler Gates Academy seniors who plan on camping in Yosemite instead of attending a tennis tournament in LA. First, they have to make it past the resident advisor who is suspicious, but let’s the two leave anyway. Bad call #2? Bad call #1 being camping. I’m definitely interested to continued reading because you know there are many more bad calls to come!
