I could not put this book down. I am a slow reader and finished this in 2 days. I was reading a page or two in the smallest pockets of time to find out where this story was going. The circumstances of these characters coming together is not very believable, however, that doesn't take away from the suspense of what happens to them once they go on this camping trip and everything goes wrong.
One interesting aspect of the way the story is told that heightened suspense is that it isn't quite clear until the end who to root for. The teen characters are well written and complex as you would expect them to be. Kept off balance throughout the story, the end is still very satisfying.
