Welcome to the lighthearted dark world of four young students, three male and one female. Add a healthy dose of competitiveness, sexual frustration and backhanded attempts to right wrongs and you have 'Bad Call'. While the premise is a little bit outlandish (a girl who barely knows one of the boys agrees to drop everything for a weekend traipsing around the mountains -- maybe?), the conversation is spot on and full of the sarcasm and relentless optimism of youth. It's also nice to see the best of the boys get the girl in the end (call me old-fashioned), the handsome rogue taken down a peg (while still maintaining his spirit) and the villein get his due. Read this in one sitting because it was truly too good to put down!
