Four students go on a not so well-planned camping adventure. Going into this book, I knew it was classified as a thriller, yet nothing thrilling really happened until the end. There was some mystery surrounding the characters given in snippets of backstory here and there, but nothing truly exciting happened until the last dozen or so pages. It read almost like a young adult romance at first (amost).
The most difficult sale of this book is that you have four teens from highly academic private schools on a trip, that's rather poorly planned, and then followed by terrible decisions. Aren't these kids supposed to be intelligent?
Aside from that, the story is very entertaining, a quick read, and a perfect young adult thriller for an introduction into the genre. Although entertaining and captivating, it won't keep you up at night.
