My first thought was of HATCHET (Gary Paulson's now classic YA novel about a boy's attempt to survive in the Canadian wilderness after being stranded with only a hatchet to help him), however, I quickly realized that they inclusion of additional human characters would make BAD CALL more than a wilderness survival novel since it seems as though the characters will be up against each other in addition to nature in BAD CALL.
