Auntie Poldi, our heroine, is a quirky 60 year old heading to a small town in Sicily to retire. All seems peaceful but things begin to go wrong when her handyman disappears. We also have a stone lion that mysteriously is missing. Enlisting the help of her family, she decides to investigate which causes big trouble. A member of the police becomes involved with her and tries to get her to stop. A passionate romance between them complicates things. Her nephew, a would be author who is still working on the first chapter of his book, narrates the story with a short synopsis at the beginning of each chapter of the book. The characters in this novel are delightful. We also get to see the beautiful country of Sicily in our minds. And, as we read the book, the word namaste keeps showing up.
