I liked this book because it was different. It reminds me of the Auntie Mame books in the way the character behaves. The characters are well developed and
rounded out. You feel like you are part of the story. I would love to see this become a series. It seems well suited for that. The situations are believable if you have a crazy whacky family. It is a family type story, telling tales of interesting and off center relatives. It is rather long but kept my interest with the descriptions of adventures. I thought Auntie Poldi was put together from stories of friends and relatives. The travels were well described and I enjoyed the background stories. I would recommend this book for a beach or summer read. It went the distance in telling her tale.
