Such a cute and creative spin on a detective novel. Love the main character, and really, all the characters! This book definitely caught me by surprise, from the eccentric and hilarious Auntie Poldi to the rest of the motley cast of characters. Auntie Poldi is humanly flawed, but loveable and since she's using her amateur detecting skills to combat her melancholy, you can't help but root for her. In all things love, friendship and family, you find yourself wanting her to come out ahead. And of course, the author keeps you guessing in solving the crime til the end. This book does whodunit in the most colorful of ways. It was a pure joy to read. I simply can't wait for the next in the series!
