When widowed Auntie Poldi moves to Sicily she thinks she will enjoy the view of the sea and quietly drink herself to death. But what she doesn't count on is the body she discovers on the beach or the fact that she will become a potential suspect. Falling in love with the handsome police detective investigating the murder is another "problem" she hadn't bargained for so this ideal life is quite disrupted and not at all what she imagined! Initially I had trouble with the flow as the book is translated, but once I got into the story, I found the humor and sensuality was engaging and I often laughed out loud at her character. So if you want an adventure (or an escape) that doesn't cost as much as a trip to Sicily, this is the book for you!
