A little slow for me

While I liked the concept of this book, it was a little slow for me. I would prefer a significantly more action and a little less character focus. I love the main character, and her activities are a hoot to read about. She is a retired German woman who feels like her life is over but she is still around. Weary of her life, she loves to Sicily to live it up in the sun with wine and cute Italians to ogle. However, it would be nice if the story moved at a quicker pace than it does. The setting is fantastic - well-described, beautiful, lush and vivid. The book makes me want to visit Auntie Poldi and her cohorts in Sicily and spend some time with them. I would just prefer if the tale moved along more.
