Promising international story

I can see the potential of this book with it's charming locale and quirky aunt. I didn't get to see enough of the aunt, she seems to be the best part of this story even if the narrator is her nephew. I would be interested in seeing more of the family and where this story goes although i could do with less history lessons.

The jacket is fun and colorful and would definitely make me pick it up.
