The voice of the narrator (Poldi's nephew) is interesting. Is he omniscient or does he get pulled into the story himself. I want to know more about Poldi, her sisters, and Sicily. Why does Poldi want to drink herself to death? What does she mean by the ice must be thick enough? How will this woman who chooses to isolate herself be drawn into life and solving a mystery?
