While not the type of book I would normally read, I had a pretty decent first impression of this one. I liked the description of the setting, which seemed like the perfect warm weather escape. And the characters seemed interesting and intriguing. But I really was not that drawn into the story itself, based on the short excerpt. It was a bit too rambling to get me hooked. I also am not a big fan of the cover art or the title itself.
