The author does a good job introducing the characters and their quirky personalities. The scenery is also illustrated very nicely. I can picture the house that looks over the steep cliffs and to the sea. So far I like the story and would want to see where it goes, who gets murdered, how they solve the mystery of the whodunit, etc.
