The description of this book sounded right up my alley but I was pretty disappointed with the opening chapter. Very choppy writing and redundancy after redundancy. I had no idea if the narrator was a man, woman, or child. I had made up my mind it must be a young girl but then it turns out its a young man. Not a great start.
