Wishes and Wonder
I enjoyed the style of writing. I found the story very accessible and thought it was an easy read.
(Some spoilers follow):
I really enjoyed the plot. The idea of a modern day telling of wishes gone awry is an interesting concept. I especially liked that the gift of wish appears to be a one-time "gift" for brand new adults and that the sneak peak alludes to the fact that disappointment and wishes goes hand in hand. I was left wondering what kind of a wish that I would have made as a new adult.
I also liked the story's setting of a dying town, the discussion of family dynamics, the mystery surrounding the missing sister, and the characterization of the imperfect but interesting high school students.
This preciew seems really interesting and I am interested to read more!
