It appears like a normal small town in a place where towns are not close because of the desert. The plot appears be slow because of introduing you to the the different characters. Then it tells you that the special something in this town is getting a wish come true on a certain birthday and you have to be careful what you wish for because of unforseen consequences. The town appears to be a sad place where travellers just pass through to go see area 51 and the town located close by but really this town is more interesting than the possibility of discovering aliens. I liked to continue reading this book to discover all the interesting wishes with their consequences and what has given these families their sadness.
